The Learning Garden Childcare Center maintains a waitlist of interested families. We attempt to go through the list in the order that people signed up. However, priority is given to siblings of students already enrolled. There is no fee to join the waitlist or any obligation if a family chooses not to remain on the waitlist or accept an opening.
When there is an anticipated opening in a classroom, we will reach out to a family on our waitlist to let them know when the space is opening and invite them in for a tour. If they do not respond within 24 hours, we will move on to the next family on the list and the family who did not express interest will have their name archived in our system. If a family is not interested in starting care the week that the space is available, they can choose to remain on the waitlist or be removed from the list.
Tours are conducted between 8-11:30 am or 3-4:30 pm. Families invited in for a tour should bring their child with them. The tour will include viewing the entire center, meeting the prospective teacher, going over our policies, and answering any questions the family may have. (At this time we only provide tours when we have an anticipated opening).
If a family is interested in enrolling after touring the center, they will be provided all necessary paperwork. In order to secure the spot, the enrollment form, a non-refundable registration fee, and a non-refundable deposit must be received within 48 hours. We do not “hold” spots; the only way to secure a spot is to submit the required paperwork and fees, as well as pay tuition starting the week the space is available.
Due to the high demand of care, if a family anticipates needing full-time care at some point in the future, we encourage them to enroll their child full-time from the time of admission. We cannot guarantee that full-time spaces will open up at a later point.
If a family decides to unenroll their child, they must provide notice in writing to the Center Director at least two weeks before care ends so that the deposit can be applied to the last two weeks’ tuition. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in the loss of the deposit.
